What we are seeing

Growth is getting harder

Markets are changing faster than operating models. Buying journeys are longer. Sales cycles are more complex. AI is changing how buyers evaluate suppliers, while traditional demand generation is producing diminishing returns.

Why the Growth Forum Exists

Most commercial leaders have inherited systems, teams and processes that evolved over time rather than being deliberately designed.

The Growth Forum exists to help commercial leaders think differently about growth before they need to react to it. It provides a space where these leaders can speak openly with peers who understand their context, away from sales pitches, theory, or competitive pressure.

“The discussion completely changed how we thought about commercial alignment.”
Emma McGhin, CMO, Simpson Associates.

Themes we are exploring

  • Commercial Strategy
  • AI
  • Revenue operations
  • Commercial leadership
  • Positioning
  • Demand generation
  • Measurement

What makes this Forum different

  • Peer discussion – No sales pitches and no suppliers selling from a stage.
  • Chatham House Rule – Honest informal discussion between executives facing similar challenges.
  • Practical thinking – Ideas you can apply in your own business next week.
  • Shared learning – MSPs, SAAS, Data, Infrastructure and Security business sharing experiences.

The Growth Platform

From Conversation to Action

The themes emerging from the Growth Forum continually shape the ReStrategy Growth Platform, our research, articles and client work.

It is one of the ways we ensure our thinking reflects what commercial leaders are experiencing today, not what worked five years ago.

Most organisations don’t need more marketing. They need a stronger Growth Platform

  • Why has pipeline slowed?
  • Why is marketing generating activity but not opportunities?
  • Why are we relying on three customers?
  • Why are win rates falling?
  • Why can’t we predict next quarter?
  • How can we make sure every salesperson tells the same story?
  • What should we do about AI?
  • Why do we keep talking about alignment?

The Forum Sessions

Who is invited

The Forum brings together senior commercial leaders from technology and technology-enabled businesses, including, CROs, CMOs and Commercial Directors.

We want members that are curious, open and prepared to contribute.

A typical Session

The Growth Forum is a relaxed, highly interactive afternoon for senior commercial leaders. We begin with coffee and introductions before exploring a couple of thought-provoking growth challenges that sets the tone for the discussion.

Small-group conversation allows everyone to share experiences and challenge assumptions, with facilitators prompting the discussion and ensuring every voice is heard. We compare perspectives, identify common themes and uncover practical ideas that people can take back into their own organisations.

The afternoon naturally gives way to drinks and dinner, where conversations continue, relationships develop and many of the most valuable insights are exchanged in an informal setting.

Beyond the Forum

Where shared needs emerge, such as training, mentoring for other team members or strengthening the Growth Platform, we can pick this up outside the forum.

  • Frequency: There are four in-person meetings per year.
  • Timing: 2.00pm until 5.00pm – discussion followed by informal drinks and dinner for those that want it (no obligation).
  • Location: TBC but typically central London close to major stations.
  • Fees: There will be a small annual fee to cover venue and refreshments. This is split equally between the participants.

Ground rules…

  • Everyone contributes
  • No presentations
  • No selling
  • Shared responsibility
